Raaj Kumar and Govinda Kissa: Filmmaker Mehul Kumar recently shared an anecdote related to Govinda and Raj Kumar. He told that on the set of the film Jangbaaz, an incident happened with Govinda that he became speechless. He told that Govinda had gifted a shirt to Raj Kumar, which Raj Kumar had turned into a handkerchief.
Talking to Bollywood Thikana, Mehul Kumar said, ‘Once Govinda came to the set wearing a vibrant shirt, which Raj Kumar liked. Raj Kumar complimented Govinda, but Govinda could not understand his sarcasm. That is why the next day Govinda gifted that shirt to Raj Kumar. Raj Kumar made that shirt into a handkerchief on the set itself. He started wiping his hands and nose with it. Govinda could not react to this. I think Govinda must have found it very strange.’
It is known that Govinda and Raj Kumar worked together in films. They were seen together in the film Marte Dum Tak. After this, they were seen together in Jangbaaz. Mehul told that once Raj Kumar had said to him, ‘Mehul, this Govinda always keeps dancing.’ After hearing this from Raj Kumar, I started laughing and said that he is a dancer. So Rajkumar said – then why does he always keep dancing even on the set?
Let us tell you that Raj Kumar is one of the veteran actors of the industry. His acting and films were very much liked. He died on 3 July 1996.
Talking about Govinda, he is not active in films at the moment. His last successful film was Partner in 2007.
